THE ALEX ROBERTS-MILLER FOUNDATION

About Alex

Alex was a positive force who touched hundreds of lives with his generosity of spirit and his belief in living life to the full.  The Alex Roberts-Miller Foundation was established in August 2002, to be a fitting and enduring memorial to his name.

Alex was a gifted young man who excelled in a number of fields. His achievements spanned sport, academia and the corporate world. However, he was so much more than an impressive CV.  Alex loved life, he had an infectious enthusaism for his great many hobbies and interests, and a silly sense of humour.

At the Foundation we try to mirror his values in the charities we support. For example, Alex abhorred bullying, which is why we got involved with Red Balloon Learning Centres. He was equally happy playing sport and spending time with his family, hence our support of Capital Kids Cricket and the family fun days hosted by Young Carers.  He loved his time studying Classics at Oxford University, so we support the Sutton Trust by providing text books for the Classics students who attend the Oxford Summer School programme.

We want to help children reach their potential just as Alex was able to.  We want to give them exciting, fun experiences and life-changing opportunities.
